Blue Chip Economic Indicators

Description

Blue Chip Economic Indicators (BCEI) is a monthly survey that gathers insights from over 50 top business economists. It focuses on U.S. economic growth, inflation, and other vital business indicators. A standout feature is its consensus forecasts. The report offers:

  • Annual Forecasts: Predictions for the U.S. economy for the current and next year, both from individual experts and as a consensus.
  • Quarterly Forecasts: Historical data alongside consensus predictions for the U.S. economy's quarterly performance.
  • International Forecasts: Data and consensus predictions for five essential economic metrics across 15 major U.S. trading partners.

Issues are available for the years 1976-2011. Excel files contain interactive tables included in the PDF forecasts published between 2001-2011. In addition to BCEI, a quarterly supplement (Blue Chip Econometric Detail) is included for the years 2008-2011.
