AN GAODHAL.
Nó de bhiadh réidhte le do lámha,
Ach feicfir í ar maidin
Nuair i bhidheas 'n ghrian ag éirighe
A bh-fastughadh muineul geirrfhiadh
Do thig as bradaighil i lag léimneadh.
Nois tá a sgornach geárrthadh
Tá 'n beitheach fiadhain gleusta,
Tá sí tafann ag tabhairt cuireadh
D'a cinéal do theacht do 'n fhéasta, .
'Gus as sconsaibh cloca 's cárnáin,
'Gus treasna cloidhe na tórann,
Tá na h-easóga ag cruinniughadh,
Teacht le áthas do 'n chomhroin.
