Heaney, Mrs Quirk, Mrs. Morrissy,
etc., were present. The Misses Guerin
Ward, McDonnell (3), Joyce, Keily
Christie, and Kennedy of the Society
spared no pains to make their lady
guests comfortable. And exPresident
McDwyer and his assistants, Messrs
McGowan, McEvoy, Jordan, and Div¬
ver, on the Floor Committee, attend¬
ed to their gent guests: Vice Presid¬
ent Galligan and Messrs Heaney and
Gray received.
Our New York friends were pres¬
ent in strong force — President Casey
and friends; Hon Denis Burns, P J

and several other members. It was a
great evening for the Irish Language.
